What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is all about showing Jesus’ love for those who don’t “do” church, and making this your church. It aims to introduce God through crafts, story and song – and a 2-course meal! It’s completely FREE, and for all ages, but especially suitable for families of any type with children aged 2–10. We welcome your questions and feedback – do come and talk to us or get in touch via our Facebook page – search The Lenches and Harvington Messy Church.
We normally meet on the 4th Sunday of each month (apart from August and December).
If you'd like to get more involved, just have a word with one of the adult helpers.
Aims of Messy Church
- Getting families together
- Removing the mustique of God/church
- Ensuring the spiritual side is met for people who are put off traditionally-organised religion
- Discipleship - exploring how to follow Jesus
Format of a session
Each session begins with a warm welcome, then we explore the day's theme through craft activities. This is followed by a celebration and a shared meal.
